NSA Watchdog Removed for Whistleblower Retaliation

In 2014, top NSA watchdog George Ellard publicly argued that Snowden could have safely reported the allegations of NSA’s domestic surveillance directly to him. Ellard has since been terminated after a high-level Intelligence Community panel found that he had previously retaliated against an NSA whistleblower.
