Mass. IDs at odds with federal law

Massachusetts licenses rejected in parts of Washington, D.C. – The Boston GlobeWASHINGTON – Susan Podziba couldn’t enter a federal building near Washington last week because her identification revealed an unrecognized location: Massachusetts. Bay State residents, as of late July, can’t use their driver’s licenses to get inside some government agencies. It’s the latest step in a federal law that pushes states to verify citizenship and update security standards when they issue licenses.
